STANDARD ALIGNMENT MIRROR KIT
Three mirrors are used to check parallelism of a 4x5 camera standards and camera to copy plane in a horizontal (wall) or vertical (copy stand) application.
Camera Alignment:
Mirror B (1.75 x.4.75 rectangular mirror) is used in the spring back of the rear standard (in place of the Scanback or film holder) and mirror A with Ring module (mounted on camera lens board using double stick tape) is placed on the front standard (in place of the lens) for alignment of the camera standards. A small light is placed in the bellows and directed toward the ring module (remember to remove flashlight before placing lens back on the camera). Align by viewing alignment rings through hole in the front of camera. Alignment is achieved when all visible circles are aligned within one another.
Art Alignment:
To check parallelism between camera and copy plane, insert Mirror B in place of the Scanback. The unique design eliminates the need to disassemble the camera for art alignment. Align by viewing through the hole in the ring module on Mirror B at the rear of the camera. Locate Mirror C (large 10” x 10” rectangular mirror) which is positioned flat on the copy surface. Align circular rings found in Mirror C. Once all visible circles are aligned within one another, alignment is complete. Once complete replace Mirror B with Scanback.
